With a complete lack of any information whatsoever, or the file in question, no.

To give some context, Alex had a save game for Rugby South which failed to load saying "Unknown error in list () functionCanvas does not allow drawing"

All his other saves were working correctly and other sims were loading saves correctly so I suggested it was a corrupted save file that couldn't be loaded correctly.

I agree a copy of the save game would help.

A start would be to try to unzip the file. If that opens correctly then see if the saved XML is valid.

I've just managed to have the save happen again to a brand new save from West Hampstead, I had just loaded up the session as a new session and saved it then I closed the loader down and proceeded to load up the save only to get errors with it.

The screenshots are in order from left to right and I've attached the save affected.

I don't know how or why the save is getting corrupted as my knowledge of such matters is limited, hopefully the supplied info will help someone pin point the issue.

It's 205 kB in size, which is definitely larger than the 139 byte 'empty' ZIP files that I've seen sometimes. Nevertheless I can't open it as a ZIP, or at least not in Windows Explorer (don't have any more sophisticated software on my work laptop, and I don't have my personal laptop with me right now.)

7-zip is not interested either.

The file is full of zeroes, nothing else. Possibly an antivirus gone mad.

mmm, well competition for SimSig to offer customer choice is never a bad thing but perhaps more importantly, they've managed to release simulations that you never see here for a variety of reasons, Glasgow Centre, Leicester, Preston, Reading, Paddington to name just a few.

Both have their pros and cons but more importantly is the fact that competition is always good for the end user as it should push both PC Rail and SimSig to deliver the best.

Definitely viruses, even if we ignore which program it is green signals are never a good sign!
