There seems to be an issue with some approach control within the sim, this is in the 2015 era, the following approach control seems to be missing:

Newton Abbot flashing yellows into Platform 1 and 2 from E9 when using the full overlap, UM215 should flash a single yellow.
Cowley Bridge Junction towards Barnstaple, E41 should not clear straight to a green.
Exmouth Junction towards Exmouth, EJ8 should not clear straight to a green.

I also noticed that the signalling into platform 3 at Newton Abbot in the down direction when signalling a train from a stand at E84, I noticed that E386 was held at red and the train, I think, passed E84 at single yellow.

I'm also not sure the approach control into Exeter St Davids is correct either, I'm fairly sure there should be approach control at red when going into platforms 1,3,4 and 6 in the up direction, and I feel like there could be some into platforms 5 and 6 in the down direction too. I'm not so sure about the latter, but fairly sure with the former.

Newton Abbot looks like I've fixed already (I recall there was an issue in the Up direction so maybe did the down at the same time).
The data I have say nothing about E41 and EJ8, can I ask what your knowledge is based on?

I don't follow what you mean here.

I'll need to double-check the data I have.

Yes, confirmed Newton Abbot is fixed. Sorry I didn't have the latest version installed it seems.

I just had a look on the control tables for E41/EJ8 and both have approach control in some form to hold the signal at red until train is approaching for routes towards Crediton and Exmouth respectively. I notice this has changed since previous versions of the sim, was this intentional? Reverting to the approach control in the previous versions would make sense.

Sorry, I don't think I explained this very well. If you brought a train to a stand at E84 at Red and then set the route to E386 and then the route from E386 to E388. I would expect E84 to step straight up to a double yellow and E386 to a single yellow, however the train passed E84 at single yellow with E386 held at red. I presume it also does this when the route is set with the train approaching on flashing yellows.

Regarding the approach control at Exeter St Davids, I had a quick look at the control tables for signals E35/E56 and I can confirm there is some form of approach control from red into the platforms I identified. I've noticed this was missing for a while if I am honest, I thought I would mention it given the relevance of this thread. Let me know if you want any more information.
