It's possibly sim specific, but it's only started happening today with the 5.11 update.

On Motherwell 1990s mode, I'm getting numerous 'Non-described Train in Berth X***' messages. Most common is berth E521, which appears at the same time any train enters at Gretna Junction, but other locations include E544 (twice) and J705 so far up to 0055 in the 1993 timetable. These aren't seeded trains.

The message at E521 occurs at exactly the same time as trains entering at Gretna; the other locations encountered so far appear to be unrelated to the entry of trains or any other message at the same time.

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

If that's an issue with an NDA in LE404 berth, then that's been fixed and sorted. If it's not then please add some further detail.

I have a similar issue with Carlisle 1980era I keep getting "Non-described Train in Berth COUT" and that it pops up quite a lot. I can't confirm which berth or area its coming from at this moment but I can provide a save if requested.

That's in hand on Mantis for attention.

COUT in general is an interesting side note. Some brands of train describer will just clear out a description that appears not have any use anymore (eg going in to a siding or yard with no shunter), But others step the description into a special COUT berth. Like the pearly gates or something?! I suppose a signaller could interrogate that berth to see find something that shouldn't have gone there, so perhaps a recycle bin analogy would be more appropriate.

I've just had the COUT warning as well, on the Manchester East sim. Save attached from just after the warning. It seemed to be 6M09 crossing over to Stockport.
EDIT: It happens consistently for every train that crosses over to Stockport.

Corby Gates?

That track only has light traffic on it, 1-2 trains per hour per direction in TTs of most eras (though a bit busier in the Penmanshiel diversion TT), so it shouldn't generate a large amount of errors.

I think the guv'nor may have been referring to the pearly gates of Heaven, but I'm glad to see your mind is fixed on railways where it belongs

Thanks, I now get it. Although I'm not so sure that the railway is 'where it belongs' more than Heaven but that's off-topic ;)

More of a language issue for me, I am more likely to recognise Biblical references when people write in my native Dutch and rather think of railways when it's in English.

Yes, sorry Albert. My warped thinking was along the lines of where old train descriptions go to die.

There appears to be one berth on Swindon A&B generating this message, berth 0248 (the second signal at the western exit of Cocklebury Sidings.)

You'll get it coming out of Down Sidings onto the Down Main too.

Do you mean Down Yard? Down Sidings only connects to the parcel siding.

Trains routed from S660 to S938 on King's cross, incorrectly generate this message with berth 0939.

Save attached with 2J42 about to trigger the message.

Berth 0231 does so too. Appears to have something to do with intermediate signals on shunt routes at Swindon.

Can't reproduce this from Down Yard to Down Main (Parcels platform era). The identity is not interposed automatically - in that case a non-described error is the sensible thing to do!

Except not when the berth has been filled manually already. That's what annoys me the most about this warning message.
