New version of the length calculator 12/01/2021 at 20:35 #136322

Following on from the extremely useful Length Calculator spreadsheets developed by Jc92, Postal and HST125Scorton (many thanks!), I have made some updates and additions. It is now available in the "other stuff" section of downloads.

This version builds on v2.4 as uploaded by HST125Scorton, and adds a couple of new features as well as content additions/updates and some behind-the-scenes changes for reliability.

Note - this is a macro-enabled spreadsheet and does contain custom functions - the author of these functions is myself, and doesn't contain external code. If you are unsure about enabling macros, the spreadsheet will function as normal, but the new Speed Classes feature will not work (everything else will).

Full changelog (over v2.4):

Added Speed Class calculation - speed classes have been added where available (based on the wiki - see Multiple Unit Characteristics) - this requires macros to be enabled to function
Added acceleration/deceleration rates - again, pulled from the wiki - simply to make life easier when writing timetables, has no effect on anything within the spreadsheet
Implemented Excel Tables - allowed for dynamic cell referencing - makes it easy to add and remove entries from the stock lists
Re-written formulas for reliability - replaced most VLookups with Index/Match, and added additional checks
Added new and updated many multiple unit classes - updated to generally match with Multiple Unit Characteristics, adding many missing DMU/EMUs, as well as subclasses with different attributes (eg. 320/4 having a 100mph top speed as opposed to the 320/3's 90mph)

If there are any improvement suggestions or additions, please post them here - I'm sure there will be a 3.1 within a few hours!
