I've got one from 4-11-2007 does that one count? It is not made by me, and it does not appear to be finished. The main line runs from Grantham towards somewhere around Moss, and the lines from Crowle and Thorne North are in it, but all lines towards the west are cut of at random places and some yards are missing south of Doncaster, as is the avoiding line.
I'd like to see it even though it isn't finished, which is a pity.

Did you actually prepare it yourself?

Nope, it was not made by me, it was made by one of the devs. I believe this has been told a few times already in the past 13 years ;).

I think the Isle of Wight railways hold a special place in all Sim-Siggers and other rail enthusiast's hearts. I think it would be really nice to have a 'heritage / what could have been' sim for the IoW network as a one off. It would be really good to se it translated to a modern network and timetable assuming none of the line had closed......

That's odd. I've read virtually every post for the last 5 years and don't recall it being mentioned during that time. Maybe it was before I signed up. Oh well, I'll just forget about it and hope that a sim is produced a some point.

4-11-2007 is somewhat more than during the last 5 years....

What's the file name and size?

I think I've had issues in the past uploading files with unusual characters, and there'll be an upper size limit for attachments.

Hey all! feels like forever! But i'm back and with a new mockup!

Ironically on the same line as the chain, i'm doing..this time it's Cornwall! stretching from st Erth to the fringe to Plymouth PSB at Liskeard!
It covers the following boxes in the 2008-2013 era

St Erth:
While the Down sidings still existed & the bay platform & siding remained unaltered from the age of steam

Roskear Junction:
In its old format before the box was re-fitted with an NX Panel
It only Had 1 stop signal on the Up! and all done through Individual Function Switches
It also retained Absolute Block in both directions

Truro:
Prior to the Cornwall capacity upgrade scheme where it lost its block section to Roskear
also when the down sidings also still existed

Par:
A Fab layout and the heart of the sim in my opinion, the long layout with semaphores at a junction station plus goods loops ground frames, and sidings galore! plus working Absolute Block in all directions! (the layout hasn't changed from 2008-2021)

The Rest of the boxes have seen no change in all these years and are relatively straightforward!

Hope You Enjoy!

Well done Ell. Nice one: hopefully it will come to fruition one day. I am stuck for mockups due to the current non-functionality of the photos.signalling.org site which has been saying "Maintenance Time" when you try and access it for at least the last 3 weeks now: very annoying as I had been working on a mockup of the full-size Lancing PSB.

I am hoping that site returns real soon.

This is a layout I know well, since I sign most of it (only the Fowey, Falmouth and St Ives branches are missing from my route knowledge), and I've been looking forward to someone producing a FULL Cornish sim for years now.

I won't be mean enough to go through all the omissions and spelling mistakes on your layout though LOL

Well mine is only a mock I would hope a real sim wouldn't have as many omissions & spelling mistakes :P

Yeah I'd have to agree its an excellent sim and being its all (bar Roskear & Par/Lostwithiels Panels) mechanical boxes so getting diagrams etc was rather easy and I'd sure for one but this if it came out! so much potential!

(plus with this sim & and the updated bristol it's possible to see Reading and control from Didcot right the way through to Penzance!)

and if you wanna say the errors I'm also happy to edit them to get a true idea of what a future sim would look like? haha

Hey all! so with my week off SimSig I decided to make a mock-up of the North London Line which was an exe till they got withdrawn.

I've used the original for Track Circuits etc, but added in the pre-2011 signal boxes that worked the Nll (all 16 of them!)
It's amazing to see how many small boxes made up the NLLs signalling, So the mock spans from Richmond and the LUL at one end through Acton, Willesden, and Camden Through to Stratford where I've included the Overground Bays as I feel they'd be included on a NLL sim rather than the GE one
It also picks up the line that diverges at Gospel oak towards Upminster with the signal boxes at Upper Holloway, Harringay Pk Junc (with semaphores!) and South Tottenham!

The sim has 4 different kinds of electrification too!
4DC at Richmond
3rd Rail
25KV AC
and non-electrified!

So Quick Panel Run-Through

Richmond:
The LUL & Overground services run together solely for this panel and there is also a fringe to Feltham on P3

Bollo Lane: (Abolished post-2011)
A small box only having 1 signal in all directions, though surprises a road crossing spanning 2 sets of lines with a gap in the centre so would be intense work!

Kew East: (abolished post-2011)
By far one of the quietest panels out there with again 1 stop signal in each direction fringing with the Feltham sim!
(It's also unique in having both semaphores and an absolute block section something now rare these days in London at least)

Acton Wells Junction:
A very busy and complex panel with again (this seems to be a theme) only 1 signal in each direction for some routes, it does have acton central LC to watch, plus Acton central where trains switch from DC to AC power. It has a LOT of routes and slotting with no less than 5 signal boxes of which slough and the GWML being the only chained one!

Acton Canal Wharf: on the fun old-fashioned line with semaphores and bells!
another tiny panel with few daily movements though also joins Kew in still having a semaphore & absolute block working
(even more so now Kew east & Harringay have vanished)
it chains to Wembley mainline

Neasden Jc:
On the same line, this is a panel frozen in time with semaphores in all directions and not a colour light in sight, both distance also being WIRE WORKED, the box fringes with Marylebone.

Dudding hill:
An oddity in having again 1 semaphore and an AB section though works TCB solely to West Hampstead on both routes, would be a very boring panel I feel though.

Willesden H.L.: (Abolished Post-2011)
Like most other boxes on the main passenger lines its a basic layout with all colour lights though fringes with Wembley Mainline twice & wembley Sub

Gospel Oak: (Abolished Post-2011)
Again same old panel and simple layout, though an intense service and has the bay for trains to barking!

Upper Holloway:
Nice small panel again with the connection to West Hampstead for the 2nd time, and a small good loop

Harringay Pk Jun: (Abolished Post 2013)
Another unique box this one being even more unique in having semaphores and block working on a PASSENGER line something that posts 2013 is now only held by 1 box....that being Greenford east! the panel also fringes with Kings Cross

South Tottenham:
A weird one as it has the "main" passenger line going straight through it though also has the line from seven sisters (west Anglia) merging solely for the station and then leaving again...for the west Anglia sim so very odd

also hitched on the end is the portion of railway now in the Liverpool st IECC under the prefix "L" and fringes with LTS at barking as the train describer shows.

Back on the NLL proper Camden: 9abolished post-2011)
Another small one having the lines from Wembley mainline, Kings Cross & the CTRL merging! plus seeing the start of DC for the former 313s

Dalston:(abolished post-2011)
controls the KX chord as seen on Kings Cross sim as well as the fringe to the Liverpool st IECC Stratford workstation

finally, Stratford the complex channelsea junctions and the Stratford Overground bays P13 & 14 plus the lines through temple mills

Hope you enjoy! and this would be an amazing sim for chaining as here are the chains:
Feltham: 3
Richmond
Kew (2)

Slough: 1

Wemlbley Mainline (oh boy here we go): 5
Acton Wells UDSW
Acton Canal Wharf: Branch
Willsden High Level: Mitre Bridge Jn
Willesden High Level: Harlesden Jn
Camden Rd: Camden Jn

Wembley Sub: 1
Willsden L.L - Kensall Green Jn

Marylebone: 1
Neasden Jn

West Hampstead: 3
Dudding Hill (2)
Junction Rd Junction

Kings X: 3
Canonbury
Camden central Jn
Harringay Pk Jc

West Anglia: 4
Dalston Jn
South Tottenham (2)
Lea Bridge

LTS: 1
Barking

GE Inner
Forest Gate (Barking)
Temple Mills East Jn
Startford P10-12
L'pool St Curve

Ashford:
Camden Central (2)

Re South Tottenham, when Seven Sisters box on WA was open but switched out (as it usually was if trains were not require to use the chord to South Tottenham, towards the end of its existence SVS was open continuously however.) South Tottenham also used to have to monitor but not Signal LST-ENF/CHN trains with a separate TRB as well. The chord used to be double track and was quite busy when the Palace Gates branch was open with relatively frequent trains between Palace Gates and Stratford / North Woolwich.

Have they also resignalled the line to Whitby, and out towards Skegness? And unless they've quickly done it overnight, the Cumbrian Coast was still semaphore and AB yesterday

Greenford still has semaphores, but it doesn't work absolute block anymore, its Track Circuit in all directions

Willesden Carriage sidings boxes also had semaphores, but I'm happy to be corrected if they've now gone.

Neasden Junction and Dudding Hill also had semaphores into the 2000's have they now gone as well?
