Westbury version 4.4 has been released.

There are a number of significant changes to the Sim.

Primarily the Reading panel area has been rebuilt all the way from checking the track circuit lengths and shapes through to the signalling and interlocking control tables.
Elsewhere all the ground frames have been rebuilt to better reflect the real method of operation.
Bradford level crossing controls have been rebuilt to better reflect the correct operation.

The Manual has been updated and provides further information.

Various bugs have been fixed too.

This is good news. Westbury is another of my favourite sims partly because I like having to clear routes after a trains have traversed it

Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate.

As I see, the crossing bug at Bradford on Avon is fixed. However the incorrectly described train message at Bedwyn still reads "???□s".

Bug seems fixed, but manual still lists it under known bugs.

One bug that still persists is that trains from Swindon calling at Bradford Junction turn back to Swindon after calling instead of proceeding towards Westbury (e.g. 6V07 in the 130220 TT).

And signal 838 at Newbury P1 seems to display only red/yellow, is this correct?

That's how I read the control table, there is no mention of a G aspect. Though, I can see it could just be an omission.

It's well possible that I reported some issues only in timetable threads and hence they didn't make their way to Mantis ahead of the re-release.

I hit another one related to reversing trains today: trains from the platform via the Down Trowbridge Siding to the Engine Sidings don't reverse, but hit the buffers in the Down Trowbridge Siding instead. I believe this issue also pre-dates Westbury 4.4.

Peter

Discussed it elsewhere and am advised that it should be green.

Can't see any issues there and I ran a train in/out which worked fine.

It only seems to happen with trains reversing into the Engine Sidings. Trains coming out of there are fine.

Attached a snapshot where 5F91 is just leaving the station is about to hit the buffers.

The timetable says Up Trowbridge, not Down Trowbridge.

Thanks, you're right of course. Reported it in the TT thread.

Would it be possible to add platform numbers (or line codes) at Newbury Racecourse? In the 130220 TT, train 2K52 has a long stop at Newbury Racecourse to be overtaken by 1C89 and according to RealTimeTrains it uses platform 3 (in the loop) for this in real life. It would be useful to have either line codes or platform numbers for such movements.

It's not a timetable, it's the latest version of the simulation. Click 'Check for updates' to install if you haven't already.
