5P73 reversing position is incorrect. 17/05/2021 at 15:49 #139555

1695 posts 		I’m playing the 2017 Austerity timetable and have come across a little problem. Surprised that there’s nothing on the Forum and that nobody has come across this before.

5P73 has stopped at Connington South Jn. on the Down Slow where it is supposed to change direction and travel back towards Huntingdon on the Up line.
If you look at the first screenshot you can see that it has stopped at signal 383. It should have stopped behind shunt signal 46 in order to reverse back to Huntingdon.

I didn’t notice anything wrong at the time because I was busy sorting out issues in Peterborough station. However, I eventually saw that 5P73 was going in the Up direction on the Down Slow. (second screenshot)
Now I know that I can sort this out in a roundabout way, but isn’t there something wrong in the timetable?

5190 posts 		Perhaps the TT should have location Connington S Jn (Reverse) instead of the plain vanilla Connington S Jn.

Yes. There wasn't that option unfortunately.

If I had to hazard a guess, you clicked on Connington South Jn in the TT to bring up the location drop-down and saw Connington South Jn at the top followed by Connington South Sdgs. If you scroll up to the location above you will find Connington S Jn (reverse).

You are correct of coarse. Stupid of me. I assumed that what I saw when I opened that window was the top of the list and didn't notice the position of the scroll bar :\
