1695 posts 		In the 2009 timetable 1B09 (from Nottingham to St Pancras) is scheduled to use platform 4 at Bedford but it can’t use P4 as it wouldn’t be able to continue its journey southwards.
As its Timing Code indicates that it doesn’t stop at Bedford anyway, should it not be scheduled to use the Fast line?

I hope that I haven’t misinterpreted the Timing Code, but nevertheless I have altered the timetable accordingly.

I looked on the forum but couldn’t find anything regarding this. That’s not to say that there isn’t because I could have missed it, as was the case in my last post :/

895 posts 		Looks like it should have had FL not P4 as the platform. As it is a passing train, you won't get any penalty for putting it through a different platform/line

Is it the SimSig timetable that is incorrect or the original real life one?

Could be either. It wasn't unknown (read was very common) for the WTT as issued to have numerous conflicts and idiocies that the signalmen just worked around or ignored. Of course ARS makes that more difficult and demands greater accuracy from the timetable makers but I never had to worry about such things - it was always a case of doing what worked regardless of the printed word, with a view to handing the train over 'right time' to the next box.

870 posts 		The WTT for May 2009 shows for 1B09 an arrival on the UFL, a passing time of 06:54 and continuing on the Fast Line so to me it’s just the timetable that has an input error. Easily done and corrected.

Just for information, a second train with the headcode 1B09 has the same timetable error. It may be that all trains with this headcode will have the same timetable.

895 posts 		The current timetable is around 5 years old. It is on the list of timetables to be rewritten to include timetable feature that were not available when the TT was first written (including but not limited to; Seeding groups, Decisions, Crew Changes, differing Set Down options) but there is currently NO timescale for this to happen.
When the timetable was first written, the Timetable dataset tool did not automatically allow us to import schedules from it into Simsig. This meant that every train manually entered (with use of the duplicate schedule tool etc being available). This method meant there was always space for a typing error to occur, as has happened with 1B09 having P4 selected rather than the UFL (which is the line code that the schedule in the data set says it should be using)
When an updated timetable is produced to use the new features, the timetable will be produced from a fresh import from the data set tool so this platform typo will be corrected.

There is only 1 1B09 in the default timetables provided with the sim.
If you've had a second 1B09 enter have you;
- marked the original train as unentered so that it entered the sim again, all be it running late?
- restarted a save game before 1B09 entered so you haven't restarted from where you left the sim?
- picked a timetable that is not the default timetable provided with the sim?

Now that's interesting.
I definitely didn't mark 1B09 as 'unentered'
I'm certain that the timetable that I am using is one of those provided with the sim.
So, looks like the final option but I don't recall what I did.

No matter. Great timetable btw. Have to run it slower than 1:1 and quite often pause it to check individual timetables as otherwise it's quite easy to get trains out of their correct order.
