My WTT lists a train, 6M67 that travels from Ripple Lane to Four Ashes. I can see that in the 1987 layout, I cannot send a train from the down line directly into Four Ashes so I wanted to invent a loco run-round at Stafford and bring a second working back along the up line to get into the sidings that way. However, the timetable won't validate from either Stafford into Four Ashes sidings or from Four Ashes loop into Four Ashes sidings. Does this mean it is not possible for trains to terminate at Four Ashes? I cannot see any shunt signals on the main line. Thanks Log in to reply |

I have just seen that when you release the frame for Four Ashes, some "shunt" signals appear. That should be it!

That was it! I needed to use WN217 as the location and then reverse in from there!

When the PSB opened, there was a crossover at Four Ashes controlled by Four Ashes No.2 frame, however this may have been removed by 1987, the start of the simulated era. A compromise may be to cross the train over at Littleton Colliery. "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now." The mention of Four Ashes reminds me that the chemical works there, formerly the tar distillery of Midland Tar Distillers, later Midland-Yorkshire Tar Distillers, had a fireless shunter locomotive. It took high pressure steam from the plant supply, did its shunting, and returned to top up the steam. No problem with fire in a hydrocarbons environment.

I get 'cannot release frame' all the time. Route from WN7 is cancelled WN7 and WN9 no routes set and at red Empty timetable and no trains in sim Nothing special noted in the wiki page, was assuming just left click the oF as usual (eg Littleton Colliery) Loader 5.17.2 Data 1.7 Log in to reply |
