1D13 has received a COA on approach to BR6 when I cancelled the route at BR4 which had been showing Green.

My issue is BR6 is showing single yellow, and remained that way.

Coming off a 75mph onto a 15mph turn out into the station, I would suspect that the most restrictive aspect you are going to get from BR6 into Bangor UPL is a Y if the route is set. So reverting BR4will result in BR6 going to remain at Y unless the route release hasn't triggered by the approaching train, then it would still be showing R.

I can recreate this with a fresh debug sesssion BR6 is approach control to red, releases to yellow, and remains at yellow when BR4 is put back. is it possible the driver is actually upset BR4 has been put back and is within sighting distance? not sure if ACOA logic looks past the signal immediately in front of the train.

This seems likely. In my testing, the test driver did not get upset when I pulled BR4 shortly after BR6 cleared to yellow. When I reinstated BR4 and pulled it a bit later, while the test driver was still approaching BR6, they did indeed get upset about an ACOA. This coincides with the test train entering the sighting distance of BR4 in the time between BR6 clearing and waiting to pull BR4.
