Ooo is it a certain timetable I've been waiting for? If so, I've been nice!! :D

I nearly had my Waterloo Sunday TT ready, but I got as far as giving it a blast and forgot to add the WLL stuff, doh!!

There is about 1,000 less services than a M-F TT, so I hope it appeals to those new to Wimbledon Sim or wanting to give bigger maps a go. You can just manage it all single handedly with LC's on, easier with them off. There is different line workings in operation until 1300 though so it's not all repetitive.

I have just started to test a December 2015 WTT for North East Wales.

Based on the workings on 4th December 2015 you will face the challenge of fitting 4 trains per hour into the single line between Wrexham General & Saltney Junction. The additional services have been diverted from the Crewe to Shrewsbury line which was closed while Gresty Lane was resignalled (control moving to a new panel in Crewe PSB).

Unfortunately it looks like the Network Rail planners thought the current improvement works on this line had been completed so there are a number of clashes on the single line. You will need to contend with these just like the Signallers in Croes Newydd North Fork and Chester PSB.

It should be available for release sometime over the festive break.

King's Cross 1985 timetable has been been finished & awaiting one more run through from midnight to midnight. There will be an accompanying PDF document with all the relevant timetable notes. This is quite an extensive timetable & nothing like the one Kurt did a long time ago, so if you've played that one quite a bit this one will catch you out if you attempt some similar moves as the testers have learnt. There is an extensive number of depot movements at both Bounds Green T&RSMD & Hornsey EMUD as well as the pilot trip workings for King's Cross Goods Yard, Ferme Park CS, Hornsey EMUD, Bounds Green T&RSMD Passenger & freight pilots & also Hitchin CE Sdgs pilot. All being well this should be released within a week from now.

In view of the fact that the testing of the final version of the King's Cross 1985-1986 timetable hasn't exactly gone to plan due to one thing or another preventing this from being finished the release of this timetable will be delayed. That said starting from tomorrow I'll re-start work on finishing the Motherwell 1979-1980 timetable which in effect will be the next timetable I'll release after King's Cross 1985-1986. To para-phrase an original quote "British Rail regrets any inconvenience caused".

Out of interest, and as an aside, do you know how the new version of the Carlisle sim is doing?

I don't I'm afraid, Tom would be the one to ask about that. But I would say that the biggest hold up would be as to when John(postal) actually gets round to finishing the timeetable in respect of the 3 station pilot workings for the whole 24 hours, which apart from a couple of run throughs such as Monday & another day of the week, that's all pretty much it & you'd be best asking him on that one. My work on the new Loader V4 release of the timetable for the sim was done months ago. So I'm not really the one to ask about any of it. Sorry can't be any more specfic than that, except you won't be disappointed when it is released. It's a completely different timetable as it is significantly more accurate than the original 1979-1980 timetable in respect of the train formations as well as the trip workings.

Hopefully KX won't be too delayed... I've only been involved in the testing for snippets and it's one of the best experiences I've had on SimSig.

Last Saturday (16th) I had an hour free: Kev put us up to 2x speed and I was managing Palace and Finsbury - that feeling of absolute hopelessness will live long in the memory!

I've finished writing Edge Hill 2016, and am about to start on Huyton 2016. It will be a while before Edge Hill is released; there are a few simulation issues that are preventing some freight paths validating.

Whilst John(postal) is carrying out amendments & testing of the new Carlisle 1979/80 timetable along with a few of us doing multi-player testing of the timetable I'm actually writing at the moment a timetable for London liverpool Street based on the period May, 1984 - May, 1985. The only variation from back then is the fact that the layout on the current sim is 'modern' era only. That said any loco hauled train that terminates at Liverpool Street the locos booked to work the stocks back out are timetabled in from Bow Junction & the loco on the buffer stops is dispatched a few minutes after the train departs the platform heading for Stratford TMD, Temple Mills Yard or Thornton Fields CS. If a proper version of London Liverpool Street sim covering the 1970s/1980s period is ever done then I'll re-write the timetable to fit. Platform allocations & loco/unit types taken from the actual Liverpool Street platform working book for this period has been used.

Pascal, I've played through the "old" Carlisle 79/80 several times and feel pretty well acquainted with it if I do say so myself, so happy to assist with testing if you need some bodies.

I don't think we need anymore people testing the new version of the 79/80 timetable along with the new version of the sim. The disappointing thing for me looks like everyone who has been waiting for this to be re-released on loader looks like they'll be waiting alot longer as it now appears that yet again we are waiting for the modern era side of thing to be updated.
