I have recently downloaded the new simulation for Exeter, and am having problems almost immediately with drivers calling in; waiting for red lights to change. I usually have to ‘Authorise driver to pass signal at Red’ this surly can’t be right.
I have used the beta version of Exeter and never had that particular problem.
For example train 5L65 will not go from Riverside Yard to St David’s platform 1 when I set a route from signal 256 to signal 160. The barrier is set to auto raise and raise.
No one else seems to have mentioned this on the forums, so am I doing something wrong? I am a newbie but have used the Beta version of Exeter; and in fact still use that on my Laptop without problem. It makes no difference which timetable I use.
My guess was, the auto barriers are not working.
The next train along, 6V20 stops at signal 22 and phones in with the same problem.
So it cannot be a barrier problem as I first thought.

Also I get the message 2C80S waiting at signal 628 (Fairwater Yard) but there is no train there. If I set a route from signal 628 I get the message incorrect route set!
Pressing F2 tells me 2C80 is going to Exeter from Bristol. I tried authorising driver to pass red but it then runs out of valid track.
Any help appreciated

Re Red Cow level crossing at St Davids - are you pressing the "clear" button when the barriers have closed? On most of the newer sims many of the crossings now have this feature including Red Cow.

With regard to the 2nd issue at Fairwater Yard, the train is probably reporting "wrong route set" because it is a Class 1 or 2 train on a goods line. There should be an option in the list once you answer the driver's call to "Accept train onto a goods line" or words to that effect.

Red Cow LC is a previously reported bug, see first 2 posts on this thread. Switching off Auto-raise seems to be the answer.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Thank you, thats fixed both my problems. Now i can get used to the scrolly version; although i prefer the old page one, possibly because i am a novice.
