Heritage Railway

:usertrack:areainfo:llangollen.png

Introduction

SimSig’s first simulation of a preserved railway! The line was originally part of the Barmouth- Ruabon route, which was closed by Beeching in 1965. Since then, the Llangollen- Carrog section has been reopened by volunteers, and is now a prominent preserved railway, with an extension to Corwen currently being constructed. The simulation provides an excellent introduction to the use of ground frames , loco-hauled trains and semaphore signalling.

Llangollen is currently free to download and play, although Donations are gratefully received.

Written by Karl Latham. To all my colleagues in the signalling department, thank you for putting up with all of my questions. To my testing team who has helped me immensely in getting to this stage - thank you, I don’t think I’d be here without you. Finally to Geoff Mayo, and the others too numerous to name that have brought SimSig this far - Thank You!
