FAQ: The supplied timetable has platform conflicts all over the place!

In real life signallers have to deal with errors created by the timetable planners. In the planners' defence their software is not perfect, plus last minute changes may not ripple through all the workings in that platform correctly. This effect is worse immediately after a major timetable change (generally May and December are the bigger changes) but often persists for months without correction. The signallers just have to deal with it.

People that write timetables for SimSig fall into two categories: those that try to fix all these errors, and those that leave it in for realism. If you're seeing lots of conflicts, don't assume the SimSig author is wrong - it may well be exactly as the real life timetable says, warts and all.
