Authorise driver to pass signal at danger

When a train is stopped at a red signal necause of a trackside failure, this option can be used to tell the driver to pass the signal at danger - to be used with caution. This will require at least the first four characters of the train ID to be entered to confirm the command.

Shunt forward

Moves the train forward at fairly low speed. Generally used when two trains joining to each other have stopped at opposite ends of the platform- shunt one of them forward to bring it next to each other. May need to be used in conjunction with Reverse Direction!

Reverse direction

Used (mostly) for trains running without a timetable, when you need to reverse the direction of a train. The command can be used even if the train is moving, though you will be prompted for confirmation.

Tell driver to examine the line

When you have a trackside failure, you want to be sure that it really is just a failure and not an obstruction or other serious problem.

Use this option to tell a driver stopped at a red signal to examine the line and report in at the next signal.

The signal must then be cleared to allow the driver to proceed. If this is not possible, use the option below.

Tell driver to examine the line and pass signal at danger

Combination of above. This will require at least the first four characters of the train ID to be entered to confirm the command.
