SimSig Worksop

Simulation Options

The simulation has multiple (Scenarios-to be done- and )Options (selected at Start-up only).

Difficulty Setting

Beginner No failures but a few delays

Standard Up to 2 failures active and some delays

Difficult Up to 4 failures with a higher failure rate and longer failures. Also more delays.

One of those days Standard level of failures but lots of delays

Gremlins Standard level of delays but up to 7 failures

Developer No Failures or delays. Intended for timetable writers and for testing.

=

TSR (Temporary Speed Restriction)

None No TSRs

Rare TSRs may be present but only a couple

Common More TSRs may be present

=

Simulation Era

There are two eras available, a modern (2000) and a 1980 era. Ensure the era appropriate for your timetable as Entrances and exits change from era to era.

=

Adverse Weather Conditions

Affects train acceleration/deceleration and signal sighting distance. Turn on to add more difficulty.

=

TORR (Train Operated Route Release)

With TORR on, as a train travels over a route and each track circuit is vacated, the route through the vacated track circuit is automatically released. With TORR off, the route from entry to exit signal is retained and the signaller must clear each route manually after a train has passed before setting it again for the next train. Leaving TORR off increases the difficulty.
