Watch out for the 1F/1H trains which divide and join at Haywards Heath. There are also overtaking moves at Haywards Heath - these are often indicated by long dwell times in the timetable to allow the stopped train to be overtaken by another train.

Trains from the Balcombe direction for Ardingly run-round at Haywards Heath in Platform 1. The route from Signal T345 must be set into the spur. This allows the engine to pull just past that Signal, leaving the first wagon just before that Signal. The loco then runs into the spur, through the down siding south, then reverses again in the down siding north before reattaching in Platform 1. The route from Platform 1 should again be set into the spur to cater for any pushing back whilst coupling to safely pass T345, though this is not likely to happen.

Coordinate the early evening moves around Brighton carefully - some need specific platforms to perform joins in, there are a couple of trains that go around the Brighton - Hove - Preston Park - Brighton triangle, and thus need consideration to their running order.
