Workstation 5

Holytown

You have visibility of trains approaching Holytown from Mossend South, Mossend East and Mossend North (both Up and Down lines for the latter); during multiplayer, liaise with the Workstation 3 signaller as to which order trains will be presented in. You have visibility of the route lights from each line.

Cleland GF

In reality there are two GFs, but due to sim limitations (common virtual signal) they have been combined them into one frame with two release levers. One frame operates the siding and one the cross-over. To open the frame signals M496 and M604 should be replaced to red by the “E” buttons – to use the crossover M605 must also be replaced. On opening the frame, 3 virtual signals will appear (siding, up line and down line). There are 7 levers, two are release leavers (1) for the siding “frame” and (4) for the crossover “frame” and use is mutually exclusive. The only common lever being (5) for the Up line virtual signal: which is used for moves into the siding and to the Down Shotts Line.

Shotts line

Note that the Shotts line has substantially longer signal sections than the rest of the simulation, and is also steeply graded (typically 1 in 100) in both directions to the summit at Benhar. Take care when regulating freight trains over this line.

Wishaw

You must request a slot to signal a train into Ravenscraig No.2 HOP line.

Trains accessing Wishaw Station siding must have a route set from M519 to the Siding before the slot on M519 from the ground frame can be given.

Law Junction

At Law Down Siding, Up trains arriving from signal M542 should be routed towards the DGL LOS signal in the first instance where they will stop awaiting the GF release. Down trains should be routed via the DPL and reverse in. Trains entering at the siding can be routed towards the DM or Holytown lines using lever 3 or 4 respectively

At Law Up Siding, trains should be routed through the UPL and will stop on T574. The ground frame can then be released and operated as appropriate.

Law crossover GF facilitates movements from the UM to the DM but trains can be talked past the DPL LOS if necessary.

Lanark

Both platforms are permissive. TRTS is provided.

In non-ARS mode, the Lanark line has an auto-working facility for platform 1.
