Semaphore Signalling

Semaphore Signalling is in use at Shirley, Henley-in-Arden and Bearley Jn.

One-click routesetting is used from most main semaphore signals where only one route can be set from the signal.

Semaphores are approach released from red, unless a route is set through the section to the next signal box. See the page linked to above for a detailed explanation of this.

Bearley Junction

Co-ordination is needed with South Bottom panel for out of order/late running trains over the Bearley single line.

Stratford-Upon-Avon

TRTS is provided at Stratford-upon-Avon.

Trains from Leamington Spa terminating at Stratford-upon-Avon normally shunt ECS from P1 to P2, to leave P1 clear for the service from Tyseley.

The connection between platforms 1 and 2 at the south end of the station is controlled by a lever frame- the control can be opened by clicking Show-> Lever Frames-> Stratford OA Hand Point. The Normal direction is towards platform 1. Ensure the point is set correctly before authorising a train to pass the stop boards.
