Timetabling Notes

Wimbledon Depot

Wimbledon Depot typically use the following entry/exit points in real life, though these are not mandatory:

- Up via Earlsfield: Entry W1102, unless the slow line is required, in which case W1108 has to be used

- Up via East Putney: Entry W1120

- Down: Entry W1123

Clapham Yard

Official timetables don't show entry times from the yard itself (as in CY38/26/40/42) if the train reverses in sidings 1/3/6 and continues to Clapham Junction (Windsor) or Clapham Junction (Main). Therefore the TT author needs to add an entry point a good 5-10 minutes earlier than the published Clapham Yard departure time, and change Clapham Yard to Clapham Centre Sidings - the latter being a location added for SimSig purposes.

Example of a published timetable:

Location Arrival Departure
Clapham Yard - 05:15
Clapham Jn (Windsor) 05:17 -

Clearly there is not enough time to get from the yard, to the centre sidings, to reverse, and then arrive at Clapham Jn (Windsor). So the SimSig equivalent might be:

Location Arrival Departure
Entry: CY42 - 05:08
Clapham Yard Centre 05:10 05:15
Clapham Jn (Windsor) 05:17 -

You may also wish to add a 3-4 minute dwell time to Clapham Yard Centre while also ticking the "can depart early" box. This ensures that the train will stop for long enough for the driver to change ends, but will then depart as soon as it's ready.

2019 Timetable

To aid flexibility in/out of Clapham Yard, the location Clapham Sidings 1/3/6 were left without platform codes.

This results in anything that uses the location coming out of ARS and will need manually routing onto the road of your choice. Once it has arrived on the road you can make the service to ARS again and everything should run fine.

London Underground

The route between East Putney and Wimbledon LUL is predominantly used by the London Underground's District Line trains, though there are several empty coaching stock movements via Point Pleasant Junction to and from the depot at Wimbledon.

The entry point for LUL trains is at Putney Bridge which is about 2-3 minutes running time from East Putney. The last location for outbound trains should also be Putney Bridge.
