Introduction

Welcome to the Valleys! Take control of a set of 5 busy commuter lines to the north of Cardiff. Uniquely for SimSig, the control area is split into two sections: the Rhymney line and the Radyr lines, with the link between them not controlled in the simulation.

Each route has a frequent passenger service, with the northern sections single track for added interest. In addition, some sections are controlled by 'No signaller key token', which you'll need to supervise, as well as operating several ground frames to allow trains to access and leave the depots and sidings in the area. If that weren't enough, there's a smattering of freight traffic to the two collieries in the area (Cwmbargoed and Tower), with staff and ticket working on the former branch. Although the traffic pattern may appear simple and repetitive, there are plenty of variations throughout the day to keep you on your toes.

Cardiff Valleys is a payware simulation- to play beyond a short demo period requires the purchase of a license from the Products area .
