Introduction

Welcome to Oxford! Despite being one of the smaller simulations, this area is not to be under-estimated. The railway in Oxford is required to be many things at once: the western end of the Thames Valley commuter route from London and Reading, a stop on long-distance Cross Country services, part of secondary routes to Bicester and Worcester, and part of the main freight route from west London and the south coast to the north of England.

Having been designed to a tight budget, the layout isn't particularly flexible, and good regulation is key on the busy southern section and the long block sections and single lines to the north. Four eras are included, tracking the improvements to the area since the new Millennium. This includes the recent upgrade to the Oxford- Bicester line, and its adoption by Chiltern Railways.

Oxford is a payware simulation- to play beyond a short demo period requires the purchase of a license from the Products area .
