Hi, Am I missing something? Tried this sim for the first time today, 4C91 arrives at Ystrad South, but I have no idea how to release the staff or ticket. I have searched the 'help' files but have found no literature to guide me? Any help from anyone would be much appreciated. V Log in to reply |

Per the manual: Quote: The line between Ystrad Myanch South Junction and Cwmbargoed is controlled by the staff and ticket system. Click the buttons marked either 'Release Staff & Ticket' or 'Release Ticket' as appropriate before setting the route to Cwmbargoed. Check the timetable list (via F4) to see if the next working after 4C91 over the branch is from Cwmbargoed (in which case release both staff and ticket) or to Cwmbargoed (in which case release only the ticket). Which timetable are you using please? I believe there may unfortunately be an issue if the first train enters at Cwmbargoed because the sim starts with the staff at the wrong end Log in to reply The following user said thank you: TheGrowler |

Thanks for the replies Steamer and TUT, I seem to have got a little confused, I am using Cardiff Valleys SX 08 04 2015 0000 Start YM38 from Llanbradach is set and so in YM46, but the later seems to set the route through YM45 to access the branch, but YM45 needs to be clicked on to clear it, but I mistakenly thought it had been set, hence the issues and the buttons not working. Once again, thanks V Steamer in post 129488 said: Per the manual: Log in to reply |

I'm playing the Valleys sim for the first time and also had issues with the Cwmbargoed branch. I'm running the Cardiff Valleys SX 08 04 2015 0400 Start timetable and 6C91 refused to enter at Cwmbargoed, even though it gave me a delay notification of 23 minutes. About an hour later I noticed it still had not appeared as the staff and ticket were at Ystrad Mynach South Jct. The only way I could think of solving the problem was to think of 6C91 failed and send a 0Z99 from Margam to Cwmbargoed to rescue 6C91 and get the token to that end of the line. It worked. As soon as my LE arrived 6C91 requested the route. Log in to reply |

I don't think anyones ever picked up on that in all the years the simulation has been out. The 2015 timetable (Along with all the other South Wales ones) are due for a refresh in the near future, and we'll iron that out as part of it. TBH I might not have noticed it, if it weren't for the fact the train was delayed 23 minutes. It's now nearly 3 hours late An enjoyable sim.
