Not sure if this has been asked before or not, but could I request that a shortcut is added to the loader that allows a user to load the last saved game to avoid having to navigate through the all the sims and folders...? Thanks. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: dhouk |

Also for a separate feature request, remembering opened windows and their positions? I use the SimSigTool (?) to do this but would be helpful for the pixel x,y locations and x,y sizes to be stored on resize and re-applied on re-open? Log in to reply |

There is already a fairly quick way to access the last save. When you start the loader click on load a previously saved simulation click on choose, and the pop up that come up you will see near the bottom File Name and a box that you cam type in, how ever to the right of the box you will see a drop down arrow click on that and it will present a list of the last 8 saves (manual saves only) just click on the save you want (the top entry is the most recent) and then click on load and then proceed as normal. Thanks for noticing that, but seems to function differently here. I get the last 20 manual saves, not the automatic ones. Might be a Win7 vs Win10 thing ? It is picking up whatever is in 'recent items' and is a .ssg Bill Log in to reply |

And now I have spotted I have made a bit gaff, it will only show manual saves on both Win 7 and Win 10/11, I am not even sure how I missed it. A bit of a random and slightly related question - when loading a save, the simulation it refers to appears in a drop-down menu. Does this serve any purpose (the menu, I mean) or is it just a quick and easy way of displaying the sim?

Windows remembers what you put into the Save dialog box, and that dialog is not used for automatic saves, hence not appearing. Admittedly I didn't know it existed either. I'll close that other ticket as it's clearly superfluous. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Secondly, if you have more than one version of a sim then there'll be more than one option here. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Splodge |

Window's start menu also includes that kind of LRU list, but there'd have to be a way of directly loading an .ssg-file in order for that to work (i.e. some sort of command line option for launching a save file plus a corresponding file type association for Windows).
