When 5B02 approaches from Turnham Green at 0001 a call is received stating wrong route, incorrect traction type. The train is shown as being formed of a 2-EPB set with 3rd rail and overhead power types. Taking a look at the North Woolwich - Richmond services they are also formed of 2-EPB stock, so presumably these services will not be able to work from Gunnersbury to Richmond. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I am running this TT on the scrolly sim, not the paged sim, could this be the problem? Regards, Phil. Log in to reply |

Turnham Green is LUL 4th rail. This train enters from LUL as it's the closest entry point to where it needs to be at the start of the TT as there is no seeding on this sim at present.

I have encountered another issue now as the morning peak starts. Starting with 2M01 0610 Stratford - Richmond, this and all subsequent services reverse at Gospel Oak back to Kentish Town West, and reverse direction again in the platforms at Willesden High Level, South Acton and Gunnersbury. When I try to use 'Edit Timetable' to select the next location in the TT I get an error message stating that there is no path from Highbury & Islington to Camden Road with the platforms selected, which I find strange as the trains have passed those locations before the reversing issue arises. Has anybody else encountered this issue and if so what is the correct course of action to eradicate it? Regards, Phil. Log in to reply |

I'm somewhat puzzled by what you are stating as I don't think your reading the timetable correctly. I was on the footplate in 1985 based at St. Pancras & used to run over the NLL between Cricklewood & Acton Wells & later being based at Bedford used to run through to Kew East Jn & beyond. Now the Stratford - Richmond services were formed of 3 car Cl.313 units which were dual voltage AC & DC & would run via the No.2 lines running all the way from there on DC through to Richmond(no reversal at Kentish Town West Jn. The only other passenger services to run over the NLL were the Gospel Oak to Barking services worked by St. Pancras drivers & were 2 car Cl.104 DMUs. I remember once in the beginning of 1986 having to go LD from Cricklewood TMD with a Cl.45 to Gospel Oak to collect a failed DMU & take it back to Cricklewood TMD for repairs. The Gospel OAK - Barking services were the only ones that reversed at Gospel Oak & ran via the T&H lines. Having said all this I'm presuming you are attempting write a 1985 timetable for the NLL? If you are writing a modern era timetable for NLL then obviously what I've posted here won't be relevant. In your first post you mention 2-EPB units they were never fitted with pantographs to run on 25kv AC. The NLL used the same units based at Croxley Green T&RSMD for the Richmond - Woolwich services prior to the introduction of Cl.313s.

In layman terms, trains with Invalid Timetables in SimSig throw all sorts of Wobblies because the train doesn't really know what it's meant to be doing. I'd suggest fixing whatever error has crept in to break the timetable validation and see if the issue persists. Log in to reply |

OK thanks for that James I stand corrected, but he's not correct regarding the rolling stock used over the route during that period.

As James points out, the issue I'm having is Stratford/North Woolwich - Richmond services attempting to incorrectly reverse at locations along the route.
