If you want to add a link from this forum to a page in the Wiki, which uses its own internal system of links, your link needs to be a combination of a link to the starting page of the Wiki, followed by a link to its internal page. For example, if you wish to create a link to the Wiki Glossary page on ARS (Automatic Route Setting), its internal address in the Wiki is usertrack:glossary:ars, which you will see in boldface at the top of the Wiki page. To form the link, combine these two elements: The starting address* of the Wiki: Quote: http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=The internal link to the glossary page: Quote: usertrack:glossary:arsSo your final link becomes Quote: http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:glossary:arsInsert the link here like this: ARS (modify link title to suit) *The web address of this page in your browser may appear to be Quote: http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=73 Don't copy this link as it will not take you beyond the start page of the Wiki. NOTE: Linking from one Wiki page to another requires a different link syntax, which you can read about on the Wiki Syntax page Maybe forum admins might like to make this thread a sticky. It will be duplicated in the Wiki itself. Last edited: 25/11/2011 at 09:53 by maxand Log in to reply |

An alternative is to right click and open as a new page/tab Peter (Made sticky and locked to avoid message becoming swamped in comment - if you have anything to add PM me with the text.) I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 25/11/2011 at 10:54 by Peter Bennet Log in to reply |
