Just got a request for use of Langholme Crossing & noted there is no provision for returning signals to danger on the up to prevent a train passing over the crossing while it is in use.
I note the same would occur at Freemans Lane Xing on the Reford Line

SimSig is generally considered to be as accurate to 'the real thing' as possible so I'd expect it is like this in real life. As far as I can tell the only risk is from Up Trains but there should be options on the calls to ask the crossing user to wait 5 minute or cross after next train if there is one approaching, but then again sometimes you'll have a train approaching but it could still be a while away before it gets to the crossing so you may still be able to allow them to cross safely.

For both crossings there is a controlled signal, one with auto facility (an auto button), two signals away so protection from Down Trains shouldn't be a problem - again if needed the crossing users should be able to be asked to wait 5 minutes or cross after next train.

May not be an ideal response but at least it is a response.

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

The situation at several of the crossings is currently under further investigation.
