In the above image,6M24(for Kingsbury Shunt Frame)was put into the loop by the Sim and because at that time there was heavy traffic including one train already booked to the Shunt Frame,I had applied a Reminder to the loop starter to ensure that the train did not depart from the loop till I wanted. After some time, after getting the slot and relaxation in traffic I removed the reminder but after that the train refuses to move and the status in the train list is shown as waiting for right of way.Meanwhile,4V69 behind is scheduled to enter the loop and that too is stuck and behind it 1V71 is stuck. Appears to be a bug which prevents the loop starter from being lowered if a reminder was applied earlier. Khalid. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Did you try telling 4V69 to pass signal at danger? That should be as close to reality as it gets, the Elford loop can take 2 trains. You can get similar hiccups in uncontrolled (but simulated) areas occasionally. As for your suspicion it is the reminder causing this, I don't think so. I think it's actually 6M24 giving priority to 4V69 (which can't move) that's causing the deadlock. I tried setting and re-setting the reminder and it all worked fine. Log in to reply |

I'm currently having the same trouble as the OP, I have 0Z70 recessed in Elford Loop as booked and passenger trains queuing up behind on the main line as if DY4 (Elford Loop) has already cleared back out onto the main. I (optimistically) authorised the first passenger train to pass DY6 at danger and it's run into the loop behind 0Z70! Of note compared to the OP is that no reminders have been applied/removed anywhere and no trains in the loop or queue are destined for Kingsbury Shunt Frame. It would appear to be an ARS issue where the 'Derby ARS signaller' is setting the route out of Elford Loop immediately regardless of booked departure time. I'm running loader V4.5.8 with a timetable currently under test. Log in to reply |

I've similar problems with the Elford Loop. In this save I've NOT altered the train order by applying a reminder to the loop. And neither of the stuck trains is due to enter the branch, the delays and loop departure times have just resulted in a deadlock. I've not tried to talk the class 4 train past the fringe signal.

I've not tried to talk the class 4 train past the fringe signal.A quick fix to clear the deadlock is to go into F2 select 4V69 and select edit timetable select Tamworth (high level) then click on Set Current/next location and click on ok. this will allow 4V69 to bypass the loop and clear the deadlock as it will allow 4V69 and 1G90 to procede and after they have both moved along far enough 6X43 will procede itself From what I can see the deadlock is appearing because 6X43 is wating for the other trains to pass or more specificly 1G90, but as 4V69 wants the loop it cannot move therefore a deadlock occures altering the TT for 4V69 as describe above will clear the deadlock but 1G90 will run behind it.
