I have uploaded pending approval my new timetable for Liverpool Street station. This is modelled off a weekday in March 2020, just before the COVID reductions changed the face of rail travel. This timetable must be run in the post-2013 era.

Liverpool Street is still awash with "classic" BR stock. 315s and 317s rule the roost on the West Anglia side, whilst a more eclectic mix of 90s, 321s, 360s and 745s is found on the Eastern side.

There is one 710 diagram on London Overground, and two 745 diagrams on the London-Norwich services. TfL rail sees a much more even spread of 315s and 345s.

All 18 platforms are available for use at Liverpool Street, as this pre-dates the extension of platforms 16 and 17. You can often find yourself with 15 or 16 platforms occupied at once, so be smart with your platforming. Any train can take any platform, with the exception that any train formed of more than 8 coaches, or ANY 90+mk3 rake, CANNOT take platforms 16-18.

You will see line codes such as "ML1", "ML2", "S1", "S2". These apply to trains arriving into P5-9 from the Suburban, and leaving P5-9 to the Main, and indicate which crossovers the train should use in the station throat, you may have to key points to achieve this.

"S1" and "ML1" mean the train should use the first crossover it comes to, whilst "S2" and "ML2" mean the second.

There are many different service groups with differing frequencies, far too numerous to list, except to say that the West Anglia is generally a mix of 2tph (trains per hour) and 4tph services, with the Eastern side being a mix of 1tph and 2tph. The Shenfield Metro (2W/2C) is its own beast and can reach as high as 12tph in the high peak, with departures as little as four minutes apart.

There are also two engineering trains of the evening, and a test train. The overnight engineering can be bypassed by making use of the 4:45 start.

If you find any issues with this timetable, please report it either via this thread or via PM (@GW43125). I will update once the file is approved.

Happy signalling!

Jamie.
