Introduction
Located in the area bounded by Doncaster, Sheffield, Wakefield, Leeds and York, West Yorkshire simulates a complex network of primarily freight routes, connecting three large power stations with the wider rail network and collieries. Passenger traffic is also represented by local and semi-fast services serving Wakefield Kirkgate. This is one of only a few areas where freight traffic outnumbers passenger services.
The simulation covers seven signal boxes, plus a shunting panel at Milford. There are over a dozen level crossings to keep operators busy on Multiplay simulations, although these can be disabled on start-up to aid solo players.
West Yorkshire is a payware simulation- to play beyond a short demo period requires the purchase of a license from the Products area .
