An updated version of the Motherwell groundhog day timetable is available in the Downloads area under timetables/motherwell.

This has been extensively tested but there may still be some issues slipping through the cracks so please report them in this thread.

Enjoy
Noel

OH26 (L73202) and 6H26 (L73202) don't work.

OH26 has a final timing point of Mossend (DR2) so stops on DR2 waiting to join 6H26.

6H26 has a rule which states that it must appear 20 minutes after 0H26 leaves the area.

0H26 doesn't leave the area so 6H26 never enters.

When 6H26 does enter it is expecting to find 0H26 waiting to join it - so this needs to be taken account of when correcting WTT.

Reason: Additional line added once 6H26 entered.

Another issue I have encountered several times, which require manual intervention, are reversals of long trains at MB298.

Even with MB329 Off before the movement starts they are not proceeding far enough to be in rear of MB298.

I am interested to hear whether your Testers were able to deal with these movements without manual intervention.

A save is attached with 8N36 waiting to shunt via MB298.

In these cases manual intervention will always be required as the lenght of track between signals MB298 and MB329 is not long enough to fit a train of that length and ARS would only know to set the route upto MB329 for a reversal at that location so it will therefore never set a route beyond MB329 to enable the train to get completely behind signal MB298, so manual intervention would always be required in these situations

The session isn't being run with ARS enabled and there are other locations within the simulation where a long train requires to have an additional signal to trigger the timing point - Carstairs and Long Sleepers comes to mind. At the end of the day it might be a simulation rather than WTT issue - but point accepted re ARS if it was enabled.

Does the timetable show N for near end stop? On first test they stopped wrong, but after the additional of the near End Stop they worked fine

I will admit that I thought it was ARS that was the cause given that in most cases this situation is normally caused by ARS, however it seems that the train does stop with the trailing end over the points.

Noel The Timetable for said train Does have Near end listed and it still behaves a such. A quick test showed that if the train is to fit fully a default stopping position of far end would be required

I think you can force it past the signal with a stopping position of FX -nnn metres if necessary.

Certainly works on Plymouth, normal stopping position at Mount Gould isn't clear of the points if you don't give the shunt upto Friary, so you order an NX and the train phones up for the signal if you forget rather than reversing short.

Missing rules on a handful of freight while running the timetable.
Should these be alternatives? as they both runs but both timetables only show the one 6M49 at Mossend.
6M49 Millerhill to Carlisle N.Y.
6M49 Mossend Yard to Carlisle N.Y.

I'm upto 20:30 in this timetable, I'm unsure of location Mossend Path UC Location DAR?? which is used by a couple of trains at Mossend for going into Down Arrival 1. 6M22 and 6M50 Flask return services no alternative rules for them same with going out services. There are still a number of rules that don't seem to work either. Shunts to MB298 for reversal into Mossend DA1 or 2 trains with N near end applied don't work as should instead sit there with half the train on the junction I'm thinking all these reversals should be made at MB300 reverse to save any issues. Anyway final part 2030 to end of timetable will post if anything is a miss.

Regardless if it did or didn't ran, the train should be there as a run as required and then run if it crosses in from Carlisle if chained. Or run when required if Motherwell ran solo.

What I'm saying is it really should be removed from the Carlisle timetable as it didn't run, not put into the Motherwell timetable

I stand by my original thought and say DAR is either one of the Down Arrivals.

It's Mossend North Junction from MB290 Up Coatbridge (UC)
to MB298 Down Arrivals (DAR).

A friend has asked if I might consider hosting a Motherwell/Carlisle chain.

At the present time the 2009 WTT is the only option.

Before I make local changes to the Motherwell WTT to address some of the issues raised I was wondering if an updated version was in the pipeline?

Either 6M31 (H73388) is too long at 398 metres for Ravenstruther HS or the HS is too short.

Trains comes out of Ravenstruther and stops at Buffer Stops, and foul of points, in effect not reaching the reversing point.

I shorten the train by 1 wagon. 378m works perfectly. Although I'm "sure" trains upto 400m fit in Ravenstruther HS. As I sure in quotations as I could be wrong..
