Hi all Just decided to play SimSig tonight and was loading the licence manager and came up with the error code above. Never had a problem before. Have updated the loader as well. Always start the licence manger first and then launch the loader. Any ideas what is wrong. It remembers the name and password. Cheers John Rowley Log in to reply |

There were some issues last night (about 23 hours before this post) but they should have been fixed now. Indeed there have been a few purchases today and people have been able to allocate the license to their machine. Are you still having problems?

John, Geoff will have to explain the error code but I should point out there is no need to start the license manager before you run the loader unless... a) You need to allocate a license for a new sim to the PC you are using b) You need to re-allocate a license you have moved from another PC If you intend running a sim you have played before and have a license already allocated on the PC you are using, you can simply just run the loader and completely ignore the license manager. Further to this comment, the license manager connects to the SimSig server when you log in to check what licenses you have; AFAIK, the loader and sims don’t connect to the Internet at all (except if you tell the loader to check for updates), which means playing the sims is much more reliable than it would otherwise be—you can still play with no Internet connection, if the SimSig servers are down, or whatever else happens, as long as the licenses are allocated.
