Hi all, just a quick one.
I have just discovered Carlisle Sim and am having a great time using it, but I have just one question:
Throughout the sim area, there are signals (or boards- I'm not sure) that look like a lowercase r with an uppercase B on the end. I have attached a screenshot of one.
The one I attached is at carlisle station itself, but there are many around the area, mainly south of Carlisle.
Could anyone help shed a little light on this?
Thanks.

They represent the locations of banner repeaters. The real panel gets no indication of the aspect the banner is showing.

They're Banner Repeaters. Some simulations have a little animated disc that changes according to the signal ahead of them, others are just shown as a B.

Most panels (in fact I have never seen a real one which does), and early IECCs did not display the aspect of a banner repeater. In fact, I know of at least one IECC where the banners were not even shown on the panel until recently.

Entirely possible that it's my memory playing tricks but I have a vague recollection from a visit donkey's years ago that Motherwell panel had indicators on it to show the state of the banner repeaters (or at least some of them)

Just to confirm the above, here's one that definitely has an indicator!
