Hi all, I'm writing a timetable for the Hong Kong East Rail Line simulation. There are "international trains" to and from Shenzhen and 80% of them are operated by China trains. China requires their drivers to follow some specific regulations that diverse from Hong Kong's, including when passing through a "Single Yellow", the train speed should be <40km/h. Also, China required its drivers to pass through intermediate platforms at <60km/h and Lo Wu Bridge at 25km/h. (There are more to go, just list a few here) Is there a way to achieve this when composing a timetable? Thanks a lot. Log in to reply |

For speeds after passing a specific signal, Defensive Driving Rules are what you need: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack%3Attuse%3Adefensive_driving_rules For the others, I would imagine those need to be built into the simulation for specific train types. If you go to the 'Driving' tab in the timetable editor, you can create a set of Defensive Driving Rules, which allow you to set up rules for how trains should react to signal aspects. Once you've created a set of rules, you can apply them to all of the appropriate train types. The platform and bridge restrictions can't be added by a user, however Clive (the developer) may have written them into the simulation for a specific speed class- he may be able to help with that. EDIT: Danny posted while I was typing. "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now."
