Don't know if anyone would be interested in this but at tomorrows meeting (Tuesday 3rd September) of the Railway Correspondence and Travel Society (RCTS) Watford Branch we are having a speaker namely Andy Smith who will be talking about 'The art of constructing timetables'

The talk will give a background into how train timetables are constructed, what makes a good timetable and what are some of the trade offs that a timetable planner needs to make the best use of the increasingly limited capacity on the UK rail network. Andy Smith has 20 years experience in train planning working in freight and in both regional and long distance passenger operations.

I have been given the go ahead by the branch to invite anyone who may be interested to come along for the evening and they would be made most welcome. The meeting will be held at the usual location which is at Beechen Grove Baptist Church, Clarendon Road, Watford WD17 1JJ, commencing at 19.30.
