Had possibly THE.WORST.TCF ever occur in my first Brighton game.. the circuit at Keymer junction where the branch up line cross the main down. The ONLY thing that can move are the occasional IFxx trains from Lewes and the trains to Hove. Currently a total of 21 trains waiting. Save file for the brave: http://tylere.net/chaos.SSG Awesome sim! I think this is finally my "ultimate' single player sim that I've wanted for a long time.... big enough and complex enough to be interesting, but small enough to be manageable... Yikes! Save file downloaded, with thanks. Distilled beverage serving at the ready for when backlog is cleared (colleague will be covering me whilst I drink it and eat the sandwich to sober up). " said:amazing stuff wonder how theyd work this in real life? divert via lewes and reverse?Exactly! Well, until someone gets on site to manually wind the points. Until then, lots of turnbacks at Haywards Heath and diversions via Lewes. Log in to reply |

How does lewes model in the sim? Are the two connections "black holes" or can a train pass through? I probably should have thought of that. Of course that might cause more problems since the platforms accessible at Brighton are pretty booked form the normal lewes traffic.

I downloaded the saved chaos (thanks) and notice, with automatic signal aspect shown, that 5F06 has a red at the signal before Clayton tunnel even though the next signal is yellow. Is this so as to avoid a train being stopped at a danger aspect within the tunnel? Great sim by the way, let me add my grateful thanks to the development and SimSig team Log in to reply The following user said thank you: AndyG |

The manual seems to keep quiet about it, but I've noticed it too. If I've observed it correctly, it seems that if the next two block sections after the tunnel are occupied, the signal at the start of the tunnel will be held at danger. And I've had quite an annoying track circuit failure, right at the start, too, blocking parts of the station throat. At least I could use the Carriage Line to keep things moving (sort of), albeit with some delays. The most annoying thing however was that about five minutes after the original failure had been fixed, an adjoining track circuit failed, too, so in effect, I had to use the Carriage Road for nearly the whole morning peak. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

With my source showing Clayton Tunnel as being 1 mile 499 yards long (converter I just used says 499 yards is 0.28352272, so 1.28 miles), I'm not surprised the signalling won't allow anything to stop in the tunnel!
