The design of the signal looks like Aviemore's up starting signal so I think we are probably somewhere in Scotland. The design of the building says Glasgow/Edinburgh.

The outside frame means and location cabinets suggest that this is very temporary set up, possibly stageworks for a power signalling scheme. The middle doll must have had a short are so we are looking a equi-speed junction which had some sidings in the 'V'.

Peter apologies for the delayed response, I hadn't noticed your post.

You are correct about being north of the border and a temporary arrangement. Not quite scheme works as such as the original box burnt down before re-signalling. Final clue is that it is a terminus station.
