Hours of operation 00.00-23.59: 713 trains in timetable, varying by day

Welcome to 1996. Warrington PSB is in its prime, though some branches have been closed, most notably that from St Helens Jn to Sutton Oak. As a consequence, oil trains to/from Haydock now reverse en route: in real life at Bamfurlong Jn, in SimSig at Springs Branch Jn.

Freight services remain frequent, though not at the 1970s scale for which the box was designed. They still careful regulating. Loco changes are a thing of the past, but crew changes remain common at Warrington Bank Quay.

Passenger services have evolved considerably since the 1970s and now involve patterns never foreseen in the box's design process. So expect trains between the ex-L&Y and ex-LNW lines at Wigan and round Earlestown's West curve.
