North East Scotland was an Alpha release for the SimSig March 2010 Peterborough meet - I should know as I had the pleasure of playing it at said meet. Looks to be a great simulation and of course it chains with Edinburgh which then in-turn chains to CScot (I think that's right).

You know that saying..... "It'll be ready when it's ready".

I give you permission to ask me for an update at Christmas - and I promise to be as honest as I can at that time.

To correct uktrainman....

NESCOT chains to EDIN and CSCOT.

Interface locations are Greenloaning/Dunblane (CSCOT to NESCOT), Hilton (EDIN to NESCOT) and Cupar (EDIN to NESCOT)

Yes I was going to update you then I posted the news about Geoff's indisposition which kind of covered it. But a promise is a promise so here gos

NESCOT has one minor core-code bug needing resolution relating to the AB bells (see WIKI) where in certain circumstances the "ding" is not being transmitted in M/Play.

CSCOT is complete and ready to go.

Edinburgh has a core code issue with the ARS Module causing a crash in certain circumstances- this can be found in other ARS sims too but it is as I say quite narrow and specific circumstances so may never appear in others.

Hope that enlightens.

Would be great if such updates are posted more regular by the sim programmers.

SimSig has programmers?!! That's news to me!
As has been said many times before, the more updates posted in relation to simulations in development is more time wasted. I can imagine it'd take up to 10 minutes to post an update to the forum regarding a simulation in development; enter site URL, enter login credentials, find the right area of the forum to post the update in and then finally start typing out the update, then submitting the update. It could take even longer if their Internet is running slowly too. I don't think any of us know the typing speed of any of the developers so how can we go around commenting on the lack of updates when we don't know how long it would take them to post an update in the first place?

Whilst it would perhaps be nice to have more updates, the more updates we get means less time spent developing the simulation(s) we all know, love and want. Add to that that the developers have personal lives & may have work lives too means there may not be a lot of time spare to work on a simulation so every minute is probably precious.

This was made in good faith and is now in danger of degenerating once again so I'll close it.
