Looking at the TCs at Nottingham station there don't appear to be overlaps in advance of the signals, why is this?

The linespeed is low enough to not need overlaps. Derby and Birmingham New Street are the same. Whether the linespeed was lowered to eliminate the complexities of swinging overlaps I don't know.
