Nice sim and nice TT, I see there are rules to prevent delayed southbound Bakerloo trains returning too soon.

There don't seem to be the equivalent rules, though, for trains leaving Stonebridge Park depot. At one point I had a train enter from there while the same unit was standing on 21 RD awaiting the signal to go in after having been rather delayed on its previous trip!

I have got the same thing at the moment where a train has just left Stonebridge Park Depot, yet its "ingoing" working is only just coming through Queens Park.

Great sim, had a major catastrophe to sort out thanks to a broken window at Wembley North taking 45 minutes to sort out, and a couple of badly-timed track circuit failures. Good fun and easy to play single handedly.

You see, even us testers don't spot everything.

With this Sim you are very brave going in first time with trouble allowed, even more so if you try the "BLOK" options.

This however is one you could try to fix yourself by editing the rules.

It's been my experience with LU that they aren't fussy about this. Train (say) 201 might not be the same physical unit through the day. Thus, while it might be going into the depot just to get out of the way for a while, it might be going into the depot to change physical trains. I would therefore expect that, if the incoming working is significantly late, for Control to send out the new train immediately rather than delay the entire service. In writing this timetable I've therefore assumed that Stonebridge Park will always send trains out on time [1] whether or not the incoming train is late or not.

[1] Assuming that they have enough rolling stock to do so. WembleySub has a new feature - depots and sidings are finite in size and you can't send a train in when they're full or get one out when they're empty.

Are the number of trains in the depot at the beginning of the day hardcoded into the sim? Just been playing around and got 23 trains out of Stonebridge Park before I got the message about it being empty.

No, it's cleverer than that! In the simulation design (this is a generic core code feature that any future simulation can use) each storage location (depot, sidings, etc.) is given a minimum and maximum initial amount of rolling stock (it only tracks stock in terms of length, not different types - maybe one day ...) and a total capacity. As trains enter and leave the simulation tracks the minimum and maximum amount of stock that might be in the location consistent with what's happened. That then triggers the warning messages.

So, for example, suppose a set of sidings is given a capacity of 400m and an initial range of 80 to 320m. If a train of length 80 goes into the sidings, these numbers change to 160 and 400. If a second train goes in, they now become 240 and 400. If we now take 4 trains out, the numbers change to 0 and 80. Now try to take out a 120m train and you get the message. And so on.
