A thread was opened about manuals and that reminded me about the manual for SH.... The current manual will not be sufficient for the updated version of the sim. There has been A LOT of changes and updates and a lot will need documenting. Although I wrote the original draft of the manual, one of my testers kindly took on the task of creating what was originally released while I worked to get the sim ready for its initial release. That tester is now a developer himself so he won't be able to do that again as he is busy with his own sims. It's possible that one of my current testers will offer but most are busy testing (not suprisingly) so I may need help from someone else and this is the point I'll prepare myself for the onslaught......LOL If anyone would like to volunteer to help update the South Humberside manual I'd be interested to know. This would mean, of course, you'd get a copy of the sim before its officially released. However, do not see this as just an opportunity to get a sim before everyone else (it wouldn't be the first time that was someones motivation). I will expect whomever is involved to abide by certain rules and I shall hold you to that task of getting the manual updated or face the wrath of the SimSIg community at large...LOL. I should warn you that we are still a little way away from completing the update but there are lots of changes and getting an early start won't hurt! I'm happy to proof-read, format or produce diagrams but no more than that - I have little time at the moment.

Happy to help if I can, adding anything missing and/or proof reading it, making sure it makes sense, etc.

I am happy to help with proof reading and or writing, I do have some experience writing mainly "Computer operating" documents I hasten to add not manuals but willing to go on a learning curve.

It's also possible that some of us could work as a team to work on this, given the large number of changes that have gone on... As you suggest, it's all time. I have time - it just depends what people find on various sims for me to do with it. Then again, there's always at least 3 days spare over Christmas to find something to do...
