After SPAD'ing a train it often does not keep to the speed limit anymore. For example a SPAD'ed train, because of a TCF, went well over 45mph through the Euston throat. It actually surprises me that it hasn't derailed...

yet a train asked to inspect sticks to 20mph (havent tested this in euston).

btw a SPAD is when it passes a signal without authority from you

Agree completely.

Terms that you hear in the real world are:-
authorise a trains to pass a signal at danger
talk a train past a signal
call a train past a signal
talk him by

you most definitely would never in a million years hear a signaller say that he's SPAD'd a train.

The term SPAD is only used when referring to a f**k up where a train has inadvertently passed a signal at danger either because of mis-judged braking, signalling failure causing a signal to revert to danger, braking failure or the signaller deliberately replacing the signal in front of the driver.

I'm very skeptical, because the track limits on a train are not affected by whether or not it was instructed to pass a signal. Next time you see this happen, please pause the game and save it, then email me the saved game with an indication of which train is involved. Thanks.
