Kings Norton

Electrification wasnt done brillaintly on the Cross City Line. Only the Slows were Electrified apart from the points across the fasts at Longbridge to lead into the Turnback Siding.

Infact King's Norton still has the bridge access to the island platform albeit the entrance is boarded up. It would prove useful if the fasts were wired, as it would if the Camp Hill lines were wired.

If the Camp Hills were electrified, then you could have a Redditch - Redditch Service (Saltley Project X me thinks!)

or a "diesel" powered EMU (as far as the sims concerned)

South Top panel covers the line from Bromsgrove via Kings Norton to New Street. At Kings Norton a route branches leading to Bordesley Jn and Saltley, but note that it is also another route to New Steet. A single track branch runs from Barnt Green to Redditch. This is electrified from New Street, but note that only the slow lines are electrified between Kings Norton and Longbridge. There is also a depot at Kings Norton, and a connection to the Rover Car plant at Halesowen."
