Hi all,

I hope I am putting this post in the right place. A post has been put onto another forum which I said I would pass on. It is an alert concerning the theft of 6 gunmetal Key Token keys that were removed last weekend, 18 - 19 February 2012, from Network Rail's Marchwood to Fawley section, near Southampton.

The keys have a square end, painted blue with white engraving "Marchwood Fawley". The keys were removed without damage to the instrument concerned.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these keys should inform BTP or the civil police.

Dave

I've also tweeted this on my Twitter account (@waterloomain). I hope the thieves get caught and the keys recovered.

That's an interesting comment. I'm assuming that either the perpetrators had a key to the S&T padlock on the instrument or that it wasn't actually locked which would not be very safe from an operational point of view.

If the NSKT instrument was locked and in working order then they should only have been able to steal one key token.
