Can anyone please give me some advise on how to get trains out of the sidings on the Southampton sim?

I cannot seem to get 5B11 out of Southampton down yard nor can i get 4V50 out of Southampton MCT :-(

I am fairly new to this so some advise would be appreciated of where i'm going wrong.

Many Thanks

By "fairly new to this", do you mean Signalling and/or SimSig, or just to the Southampton sim?

I've just ran the sim a short while to get the two trains you mention, and both came out fine. It might just be a case that they are exiting yards and travelling quite slowly, and 5B11 has to perform reversing movements, meaning it will sit wherever it is to give the "driver" time to walk to the other end, set up the cab, etc.

If that wasn't of any help, either someone more qualified will come along shortly, or could you please explain what exactly you mean by "cannot seem to get" them "out"?

There used to be a direct link to the FAQ section of the WIKI from side-bar I recall. Anyway I'm wondering if it's the "hidden shunt signal" question we have here- FAQ number 3.

Chris, thank you for your reply but as you can see by what i replied to peter's comment it was a little teeny weeny but massive error on my part lol.

Thank you for your help though and should i encounter this problem again while signals are showing i will make sure it's not in a reversing movement.
