Hello all,

I had a bit of an issue with both the UT and DT roads at Bristol Temple Meads (modern layout) as I was trying to get a Class 66 freight to the DT to run around the train but through a test it got as far as Bristol East, stopped and complained about a wrong route being set. I looked at the TT and I set it to Bristol Temple Meads plat DT. So, I forced it past the signal by abandoning the TT then re-entering it and it stopped in the DT just fine.

I performed the run around up to Bristol East where another problem occured. Signal 576 (the shunt sig in the middle of the DT) was still off but with the train in the way, I could not pull if off, so with the farce of having to skip locations and then psad a light loco, I decided to change it to the UT as it might be easier. Through with another test it complained again of a wrong route when routed to it's new UT plat ID, so I pulled the signal back and decided to route it into Platform 6 to see what effect it would have and sure enough it went into the station.

I scrapped the run around at the station and did it at Bristol West CWM instead. Later on I was adding trains to Portbury and used the arrival and departure time for when it was booked to sit in the DT, but the driver complained of a wrong route, but changing this to either a passing time or arrival plus departing time with the pass box checked solves this issue for now.

I did a search but didn't find any relevant posts, but I just wondered if it was noted or not. Either that I might be doing something completely wrong, or maybe DBS drivers just don't like through roads!?

Stops on the UT and DT lines need the 'through line stop' box ticked, as there are no platforms.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
