I'm a complete noob at this so apologies if I come accross as completely dim. I'm having a bit of difficulty with how you get trains to enter Camden yards as the instructions in the manual refer to signals that do not appear to be labelled and although i've scoured the layout, I just can't seem to find them.

Firstly I presume that button 604 is the one right next to 603; is this correct?
Secondly, The instructions refer to signals CY45 and 131. I've found signal CY43 but cannot for the life of me find signal CY45. Same with 131.

Also the manual refers to particular sets of point by number. Can you tell me how I find out the number for a particular set of points, or refer me to a diagram showing me where they are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Once I've got this info, I can start getting my head round the concept of Ground Frames.

246 posts 		You can find the numbers of points in F11. Off the top of my head, click the points tab and then the little mouse button, then a particular set of points, and it will give you the number of the points.

This is very helpful thanks. I reckon I'll be using that feature a lot. Any idea on the location of those two signals I'm looking for?

view > frames > camden yard (north i think) and it will display a diagram with all the relevant points and signals required to make the movements. these arent on the panel as they dont/didnt appear in real life as camden yard has/had its own box

35 posts 		No No you've been very helpful. You too JC92. Well I now know why I couldn't find those signals, as they only appear in the 1960s and I'm playing the 1990s era! As I'm playing with the timetable supplied with the SIM, I guess I don't have to worry about this.

As a matter of interest, which era and timetable are you playing?

Online 		The supplied timetable should be used with the 1990s era- there shouldn't be any trains using the NLL entrance (the one nearest signal 141), and no trains use signal CY45, which doesn't exist in that era.

35 posts 		I'm going to try that one next once I've had a play on the 2003 one, as it seems a bit easier to get a handle on the bulk of the layout using the 1990s era. From what I've seen of the 1977 TT that's played using the 1980's era isn't it?

from experience i can tell you the 77 timetable is my favourite for euston. the advantage of it over the 2003 one, is that it is written for a layout that actually existed at that point, whereas in 2003 Euston PSB had closed and the layout was revised.

the 77 timetable uses the bulk of the layout - ECS uses the empty carriage line to access euston C.S and Camden C.S, then returns via the backing out roads, meaning the station throat isnt as crowded as in the 2003 timetable.

it is indeed played on the 1980s mode

390 posts 		Yes, I have a 1997 WTT (CB) I have for the WCML shows a large number of Virgin WC services using this, shown as DL as the line code in the book.

1712 posts 		Not sure quite when the Down Departure was upgraded & renamed thus, but it was certainly before I visited my partner's family in N Wales for the first time and that was definitely in 1980.

without checking any vintage SBSIs or sectional appendices, i would imagine so, as long as the interlocking provides suitable overlaps, i havent got the sim in front of me, but if theres no overlap, then no.
