Enjoy both Exeter/Bristol sims playing alone, but tend not to complete Exeter due to complexity and the number of LC's!!

Run into a little problem...first train Exeter/Exmouth routed correctly from Topsham Sig EJ27 to Exmouth. Subsequent trains are unable to be route set under identical circumstances. I'm clicking on same signal symbols but route not valid and end up removing train from Sim as last resort. Don't like doing this especially Exeter as other services using same train are affected Barnstaple/Honiton/Paignton etc.

This problem only started a few weeks ago.....any help appreciated!

I suspect you used the warner route and unsuspectingly encountered the bug previously reported on this thread.

I seem to recollect that it can be cleared by instructing the train to pass red towards Exmouth, then back to Topsham, which 'should' clear the locked route. Just avoid using the down warner button, I think the up warner is OK.
Edit:
Referring to this thread it may be the other way round, safest bet is to avoid using warner routes at Topsham.
(the bug has been fixed for the next release)

Andy...thanks, I had already looked at previous threads and don't believe I am using the 'Warner' route, if that is the gold coloured symbol at Topsham. I'm merely clicking on Sig EJ27 at Topsham and then clicking the small left handed arrow symbol at Exmouth.

OK, maybe a variation on a theme maybe, let us know of any further occurances.

The problem is not the route into Exmouth (the Up route), it is the return route (in the Down direction). When you set the route from EJ28 to Topsham, if you click on the gold "warner" triangle rather than EJ26, that then locks out the route in the reverse direction from EJ27 to Exmouth, even after the train from Exmouth has cleared; that means you can't set the route for another train into Exmouth. You then have to talk the next train through. As long as you signal the return working to EJ26 and not the "warner" triangle that clears the problem. Perhaps you missed the references to Up and Down "warner" buttons in Andy's posting.

Thanks Postal....Maybe I did miss the references. I'll continue with my present game and see what happens.

Thanks again to all that responded.
