Hi tynie.
If you right click on the TD and go to 'interpose TD' and then insert the new TD. Joining should happen automatically - are the right trains adjoining each other?

Great!

Regarding the TD- if you click the "ACI" (Automatic Code Insertion) button the TD should step up for most trains automatically (not for joining/dividing trains). It's a simplified system to the ARS Sim type.

Still getting to grips with the Sim. Really good fun though. Another problem i seem to haveis ,if traind divide at Glasgow Queen St. The front train will depart with an Indicator number leaving behind red bars in the platform. If you go to the train list, you can find out what the train is,but you cannot seem to track it until it lr=eaves, then eventually 4 **** will appear. Then you can put the correct id in. Is this correct. Or am i doing something wrong. Thanks again . I will donate to Edinburgh and Central Scotland. Love the Ramones quote by the way 1234!p

If there are two trains after the divide then insert the first train TD at the country end and the second train's TD at the buffer end. The latter should step forward when that train gets TRTS, or otherwise when you signal it out. 3 trains and you will need to await a vacant TD berth to insert- use sticky notes.

Peter

PS TRTS may not be working just remembered

I get the message that trains have divided but i only have 1 in the platform. If i change its ID it is the ID of the 1st train timtabled to leave. Then i have red coloured bars in the bay. And as i say you can only put the ID in when after departure the **** appears. Chers Ken
Also how easy is it to add the Alloa timtable?

There are in fact 2 trains in the platform, but they are both occupying the one track circuit. When the first departs, the second remains occupying the track circuit (the red bar you notice). The indications are what the signalman sees and don't necessarily reflect the exact detail of what's on the ground (in the old days of screw couplings you might well have the 2 trains buffered right up to each other).

Even if you choose not to put the 2nd description in at the stop block end immediately, you should be able to interpose it at the departure signal at any time after the first train has gone.
